That’s something Minnesota’s network of state universities and technical colleges aims to change through a marketing campaign and more face time with business leaders.
So far, presidents from MnSCU’s colleges have met with about 150 firms in Minnesota in an effort to bolster awareness about customized training, online professional development and other programs, said Mary Rothchild, MnSCU’s director of business and industry relations. Officials aim to meet with executives at 300 companies as part of the campaign, which also includes a business-focused hotline and resource guide.
