BEAVER DAM, Wis. - A special state prosecutor will help Dodge County officials investigate claims made against a defunct travel agency.

Carol's Tours of Beaver Dam closed in January following a series of complaints by consumers who said they had deposited money for trips and vacation packages which were never fulfilled by the travel agency.

Dodge County District Attorney Bill Bedker says his contacts with local police and state consumer protection officials shows the case may involve as many as 200 customers statewide.

Assistant Attorney General Barbara Oswald has been assigned as special prosecutor.
